Activated Carbon Fiber (ACF) Filter

Heavy metals testing at SGS laboratories, South Korea

The ACF filter is the activated carbon filter inside the Purla shower head. It works alongside the sediment filter, and your shower water passes through it before it reaches your skin and hair. A sample of the filter material was sent to the SGS chemical laboratory and tested for four heavy metals: cadmium, lead, mercury and hexavalent chromium, following the international IEC 62321 test methods.

Result: none of the four heavy metals was detected in the filter material.
